The Gardens

Allington Gardens Residents' Association

Allington Gardens is situated on the edge of the village of Allington in what was a prisoner of war camp during the Second World War. After several other incarnations, it later became a residential caravan site and then a Park Home site. The current owner of the site is Berkeley Parks and in the last few years Allington Gardens has grown to 200 Park Homes.

We have an active residents’ association (The Gardens) which looks after residents’ interests on the park, liaising with the managers on site and with Berkeley Parks when necessary. During the year we try to organise events on the Green within the site. These include regular summer boules culminating in a final competition for the Les North Trophy, summer fete, various trips out and Christmas Carols in December. Members of the Village, family and friends are also welcome to join in any of our activities.

Communications on the Gardens are by notice boards and an email system. We will also

advertise any future events on this web page and The Gardens Allington Facebook page. Members receive a newsletter ‘Down the Gardens’ every two months which, along with the

online communications, keeps them informed of the activities of the committee and information of items of concern and interest to residents. We also advertise social events planned, and report on these afterwards. Any items for the Newsletter will be gratefully received by our Down the Gardens (DTG) editor.
