The Allington Playing Field Fundraisers, under the auspices of the parish council, provide the village with a range of social activity. This includes The Big Weekend – a weekend of live music, beer festival and car show, the bonfire and fireworks and the provision of the village Christmas tree.
The committee meets about ten times a year in the Welby Arms. New volunteers are always welcome. Our members possess a variety of talents but we are always looking for new recruits who want to help out. You don’t have to have any specialist knowledge or skills and in return you will find a warm welcome, make new friends and get the satisfaction of helping your community.
All proceeds from our activities go towards the provision of facilities at Allington Playing Field.
